Murgen Hoslow

Murgen's past is one filled with biases, struggle, and a desire for more. He hails from Garlemald, though his mother is Doman and he inherited all the issues that came with that. Throughout his youth he was treated much differently due to being only half-Garlean, since they saw him as their lesser. This treatment led to him growing more detached from the world around him, and more violent as a result of having to defend himself. He eventually grew to want more, and to finally have the ability to put those that would lord their birth over him in their place. So, he enlisted in the Imperial military, and the XIIth Legion; partly because of other cohorts not being pure-blooded Garleans he found that he felt he belonged somewhere.

While this legion was still Garlean military, the Legatus held slightly different ideals; ideals that Murgen eventually took to heart and clung to himself. It was during his time in the XIIth Legion, and out of the feeling that he owed his purpose to his Legatus that he would eventually volunteer for Resonant research and experimentation. When the XIIth Legion was defeated; driven out of Ala Mhigo and the Legatus defeated by the Resistance, Murgen was at a loss for what to do. Everything he had come to know had fallen apart, and so, he deserted to carve his own path. He wandered in the period after his deserting; selling his skills in battle, no matter the requirements of the job.

He operates out of two locations primarily. In Eorzea, it's Ishgard; partly due to the opening of Empyreum, and the colder climate that reminded him of his home back in Garlemald. In the Hingashi, Kugane. Garlemald still maintains a Consulate there, and the city is known for it's neutrality in regards to the previous war.
