What Aetherscroll is

Aetherscroll is a fan-made character profile platform for the FFXIV roleplay community. It is not affiliated with Square Enix. Final Fantasy XIV and related marks are property of Square Enix Co., Ltd.

Your content

You retain ownership of the text and images you upload. By posting content you grant Aetherscroll a licence to store and display it as part of the service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share any images you upload (including fan art — please credit artists).

Prohibited content

The following are not permitted on Aetherscroll:

• Sexual content depicting minors (real or fictional)
• Real-person sexual content without clear indication of consent
• Content targeting real people with the intent to harass, defame, or dox them
• Hate speech based on race, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or similar
• Malware, phishing links, or spam
• Content that violates applicable law

Content ratings

Aetherscroll uses a three-level content rating system for character profiles:

• SFW — Standard content suitable for general audiences. Available to all accounts.
• Suggestive — Content that is flirtatious, mildly revealing, or contains innuendo, but stops short of explicit depictions. Examples include revealing outfits, suggestive poses, and flirty themes. Available to all accounts.
• NSFW — Explicit adult content. Permitted only for premium accounts. NSFW profiles are hidden from browse by default, excluded from search engine indexing, and shown only after an age acknowledgement.

The prohibitions listed above (e.g. sexual content depicting minors) apply regardless of content rating.

Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms, at our discretion and without prior notice. To report a profile, use the Report link on any character page or email [email protected].

Aetherscroll is provided as-is. We make no guarantees of uptime or data retention beyond reasonable best efforts. We are not liable for any loss of data or access.

Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Significant changes will be announced on the site.
